In order to meet the long-term needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in weapons and military equipment, the American authorities are discussing the possibility of supplying Ukraine with fifth-generation fighters. This was stated by US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland.
The US Air Force has two types of fifth-generation fighters, these are the F-35 in three versions and the F-22 Raptor. The latest aircraft are used exclusively by the US military, F-35s are actively supplied to other NATO members and US partners.
Nuland has previously said that the United States has no intention of building up its nuclear arsenal.
